[Cut] Facebook Plans Announcer

Updating your status because its Friday night and the gang’s coming over for canasta?  Cut.

I’m assuming this is done because the person in question thinks the general response to “Fifty cent Jello shot’s at O’Leary’s” is for all of her Facebook friends to nod pensively and say, out loud to no one, “My, she is quite the popular lady.  I wish I had a social engagement to partake in on this, the most thirsty of Thursdays.”

Before social networking, did you used to call every one of your friends, acquaintances, family members, and hook-ups, and let them know just what you had planned for the evening?

I sure hope not.  Because they care just as much now as they did when all you had to annoy the world with was a cell phone. What a simpler time.
