Book recommendation

For anyone out there who likes the Nick Hornby style of infiltrating pop music references into his narrative, read Tom Perrotta’s early novel “The Wishbones“. Also for any of you who don’t like Hornsby’s books, it is more interesting than his books.

I should read a Tom Perrotta book.

I’ve never read a Tom Perrotta book. The only book by Nick Hornby that I’ve ever read (…gotten past the first ten pages…) is The Pollysyllabic Spree. Mostly, I was inspired by how many books Hornby started to read and never finished. (Just like me!)

Since I can’t really judge by writing talents, I’ll judge by movie adaptations and still say Perrotta surpasses Hornby.

    (Sorry Jack Black!)

[While I've never read "Little Children" or see the whole movie, I did see a hot sex scene with Kate Winslett in a laundry room.]

Anyway, point is, The Wishbones is on my queue!

I couldn’t help but think about Wishbone, the show about the Jack Russel Terrier detective dog. I miss that show…
If the book is anything like the show, I’m down to read it.
