2SR: The Lincoln Lawyer

David Wooderson weirdly makes a few momentary appearances in Matthew McConaughey’s portrayal of a trashy defense lawyer in L.A. who is forced to question and his moral turpitude when faced with a client he describes as pure evil. But perhaps it is the shades of Wooderson (and a Fargo-ishly funny William H. Macy) that make this film ultimately enjoyable as Ryan Phillippe’s poor interpretation of Edward Norton’s brilliant performance in Primal Fear tries it’s damnedest (sp?) to ruin your day.
