Essentially Sophomoric: Grocery Shopping

Grocery Carts. Now that I live in an apartment and no longer rely on a dorm cafeteria or a sorority chef for my meals, groceries are my biggest enemy.

Generally, my roommates and I go grocery shopping once a week. We stock up on sliced turkey (2+ pounds), fruits, veggies, and other delicious items. When I say stock up, I mean it. If you saw our carts (one cart per person), you would think that we were shopping for a house of twenty rather than a household of three.

However, I don’t really know how else to do it  - we are busy college students who don’t have time to run to the market whenever we run out of milk. So, we buy two gallons and hope that lasts us until we do have time.

I can only imagine this problem gets worse with age and more responsibilities. So, I want to know – how do you grocery shop? Do you hoard? Do you limit yourself? What is an appropriate amount of money to spend on groceries? Please let me know.

Thanks,

ME

I say you buy everything that you can via nonpretentious’s amazon affiliate links. E.g., water, 100 calorie snack packs, Moroccan Oil, etc.
