2 Sentence Review: The Good Wife (CBS Drama)

In its breakout season, this legal/family drama, starring many familiar faces (see Julianna Marguelies [ER], Chris Noth [Sex and the City, duh!], Matt Czuchry [::swoon:: Gilmore Girls], Archie Panjabi [newcomer to me but I hear she was in Bend It Like Beckham], and Christine Baranski [we loved to hate her in Cruel Intentions]) is one we need to keep our eye on. Episodes follow a scorned wife (now a practicing attorney herself), who is attempting to keep her family together (whilst avoiding her own scandalous office romances) after her husband (city attorney turned sex-crazed animal [see Eliot Spitzer, and more recently John Edwards]) is thrown in federal prison, gets released on bail, moves into wife’s small Chicago apartment while on house-arrest, and then jumps bail to win back Marguelies (and this is all in the first season!).
