Great film. Love the semi-operatic singing at the beginning. It's taken me about 30 years for this film to grow on me. First time I saw it I thought it was simplistic crap. Now I notice the genius of Kerouac's script – that ology piece, f'r'instance, how British Telecom pinched that for the 1980's Maureen Lipman adverts. I could go on… so many levels in this film, these guys were so ahead of their time. __If you want to join a couple of threads of Kerouac fans try searching Subterraneansgroup
