    as a penelope cruz fan, i am so happy she won the oscar for best supporting actress. she was wonderfully intoxicating in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

    loved tina fey & steve martin as presenters. and loved how (they & the academy) presented the screenplays/adapted screenplays.

    thought Dustin Lance Black’s acceptance speech was not too preachy, not too emotionless. further reading.

    when i see footage from man on wire, i can only think about when philippe petit lost on wait, wait don’t tell me.

    (also, now that “man on wire” won i think whoever philippe played for deserves carl kassel’s voice on his/her home answering machine)
