Hillary in Orange

Wow — great speech there by Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention. But let’s talk about what was really important: her orange suit.

What do ya’ll think? All orange. Orange suit, orange blouse, even amber jewelry. Somehow it looked good. Somehow she pulled it off. Maybe it was the blue backdrop.

So typical. A woman with power and you have talk about how she looks. No one talked about the fact that Ted Kennedy looked like a wax puppet, did they?!

But yeah, she did pull off that suit. And two nights ago, Michelle Obama looked hot!

Um, okay. Attack me if you don’t know who the hell I am. This is what I H-A-T-E about liberals (though I count myself as a one). So often liberal arguments are entirely illogical. I make a light-hearted comment about her orange suit (which I loved), and suddenly I’m a misogynist. No matter that I supported Hillary in her campaign. No matter that I made the argument that it was Obama that lacked substance in his campaign. No — you attack my one comment about her suit.

Why don’t I talk about men’s clothing? Mens suit are boooring! They’re all the same. I do talk about guy’s clothing when it’s not boooring and gray. And when women’s clothing is boring and gray, there’s nothing to talk about there.

You have no idea what you’re talking about, RustedJesus. Comments like yours make liberals look like nutjobs, where they make accusations but can’t back them up with reason. Why exactly must talking about Hillary’s orange suit be an unconscious admission of some supposed women-hating nature? No wonder democrats always lose elections.

Okay. I’ve cooled down now, so I’m not going to be as bitchy with you. But I will say this, I just wish that we could give each other the benefit of the doubt. While it might raise a red flag to you that I decided to talk about Hillary’s orange suit instead engaging in a political discussion of what she said, it is by no means proof that I’m sexist.

I agree. I was just choking your chain. haha! I was pretending to be an asshole liberal (though I am one as well). Don’t worry, I believe in you and your non-sexist/non-misogynist comments on attire when in the public eye.

Are you watching the Bill Clinton speech now? Let’s blog about it.

P.S. You’re right, most of the time I have no idea what I’m talking about.

Oh, now I feel bad. I overreacted. I don’t know if it’s just me or if it’s the three beers I just had, but I’m sorry about overreacting. I missed most of the convention tonight, actually. But I was being so very bitchy earlier today. I’m sorry. I was having a bad day, you see.

Oh yes, I just reread my comments. I see how you were speaking tongue and cheek. Oh, jeez. I spazzed out. Jeez, jeez, jeez. Sorry about that.

    I’m crazy.

I think I need lithium or something.

No worries, my friend. Sarcasm is often lost via the interwebs. I probably should have employed the good ol’ [sic]. Then we certainly would have been laughing over Tangerine Hillary.

Was “via” correct there? Maybe it should have been vis-a-vis. I hate fucking Latin.
